Preparation: Part 3

Prepared for Glory

When we talk about preparation, it is important to remember what we are all being prepared for... Glory.

In the old testament, the Glory of God was a heaviness, a weight, something so intense and filling that there was not room for anyone or anything else. When the Glory of God was in the temple, the priests couldn't move, the people couldn't stand, and those who had come to speak no longer had words. Simply put, the Glory of God was just a glimpse of His presence.

With Christ's death and resurrection, the Holy Spirit can dwell in the hearts and minds of believers. The very presence of God is with us. We have the opportunity to see His Glory, and that is exactly what we have been prepared for.

Paul puts it this way in Colossians, "so that I might fully carry out the preaching of the word of God, that is, the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His saints, to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory." 1:25-27

The Hope of Glory, the Glory you have been prepared for, is Christ in you.
